Synopsis: Maria José decides to leave her life behind because she can no longer bear the weight of her emotional burdens. After years of enduring a lukewarm relationship, a demanding job, and a family that doesn’t understand her, Maria José reaches a breaking point and decides that it’s time to take control of her life.
With nothing more than a backpack and a few personal belongings, Maria José ups and leaves.
As she moves further away from her old life, Maria José begins to reflect on the events that led her to this point. She confronts the pain and trauma that she has buried deep inside and tries to forgive herself.
Logline: A woman for whom life has become routine and dull decides to stop the rhythm she’s stuck in and start anew elsewhere, severing all ties.
